FARGO – A little of this, a little of that – Erin Hafliger mixes prints, colors and brands to create a style that’s uniquely hers. I spotted Hafliger downtown at Babb’s Coffee House on her day off from Bucci Salon, where she works as a hair stylist.
FARGO – Some things never go out of style, like a simple, timeless approach to fashion. Britt Posey sticks to the classics and wears them elegantly.
To achieve her polished, ladylike appearance, Posey says that she always asks herself “What would my grandma like to see me in?” Clearly, grandma knows best.
FARGO – Brian Washburn takes style inspiration from old French films.
His love for the past intertwines with his love for thrifting, two traits that were clear when I spotted him at Red Raven Espresso Parlor, where he works.
High-low dressing is an art form. The style combines high-end designer goods (expensive) with “low,” or commercial (more affordable) pieces.
Ashlie O’Day, a buyer for O’Day Cache, uses the high-low concept in her wardrobe daily, and she does it well.
On a lovely fall-like day last week, I spotted Cristina Dargan on the Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) campus. I’m a fan of the floral trend, and Dargan’s tiny floral-print tank adds the perfect splash of color to her neutral outfit. She’s set for fall with her cozy cardigan, knee-high boots and essential black leggings.
FARGO – In the dog days of summer, it can be difficult to look pretty and breezy, but Alissa Sorum accomplished it on a 90-degree day. I spotted Alissa, marketing director for West Acres, on Second Avenue in downtown Fargo while she was shopping with her sister. Her green dress and fabulous accessories stood out in the downtown sidewalk traffic.
