WASHINGTON – The U.S. Senate is expected to vote today on a proposal to roll back the student loan interest rate that increased from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent on July 1 because Congress didn’t pass a plan to prevent it.
BISMARCK – In a brief address to North Dakota Republicans this morning, Sen. John Hoeven said jobs, the economy and the energy sector need to be top priorities for Congress – just like they’ve been in his home state.
“Around the country, people are talking about North Dakota, and they’re talking about North Dakota in a very good way,” Hoeven said. “That didn’t just happen. We worked very hard.”
