Lawsuit alleges negligence by driver, employer in accident
GRAND FORKS – A lawsuit by victims of the Christmas crash three years ago west of Grand Forks when a semitrailer ran a red light and hit a van, killing two children and injuring another and their father, alleges the truck driver violated federal regulations by driving too many hours without rest and using a prescription painkiller that causes drowsiness.

TWO HARBORS, Minn. - The two crew members injured in Thursday’s derailment of a Canadian National Railway train in Two Harbors remain hospitalized, according to Patrick Waldron, government and public affairs manager for CN in the U.S.
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - Thanks to a passing snowplow driver, a Detroit Lakes man was rescued after his sport utility vehicle went into the Pelican River in the Detroit Lakes Industrial Park early Thursday.
TWO HARBORS, Minn. - A Canadian National Railway train filled with iron ore pellets from the Iron Range derailed in Two Harbors early Thursday afternoon and two injuries were reported, Lake County Sheriff Carey Johnson said.
One child was killed and four more injured on Thursday when a bus carrying elementary schoolchildren collided with a dump truck at a rural intersection in Idaho, west of Boise, a state police spokeswoman said.
NORTHWOOD, N.D. - On Monday afternoon, with winter looming, 191 gallons of fuel oil were delivered to 307 Adam St. S. in Northwood.
A problem was that the oil was supposed to be delivered to 308 Adam St. S. A bigger problem was that the home at 307 Adam had a pipe for fuel on the outside, but not a fuel tank on the inside.
