ST. PAUL – Gov.-elect Mark Dayton wants the state to borrow $1 billion for public works construction projects around the state.
He should not get his heart set on it.
Pawlenty projects key to passing bill
ST. PAUL – Republicans blasted the public works funding bill as being too expensive, but, as the Minnesota House and Senate passed a revised measure Thursday, a Democrat delivered the most stinging criticism of the plan written by his own party members.
$986M bill includes Pawlenty’s priorities but is much larger than the governor wants.
