Fargo art fans can check out two emerging artists in back-to-back opening receptions this Saturday. Moorhead High School Spanish teacher Lana Suomala deals with immigration and migration in her show of sewn and stitched illustrations, “Humans on the Move,” at the Spirit Room, 111 Broadway, Fargo. Roads closed to cars during Streets Alive event
“Kids, no playing in the street!”
It’s a familiar call for safety that kids and parents alike can discard this coming Sunday, when there will be no cars in sight on a five-mile stretch of roads in Fargo-Moorhead.
While downtown Fargo has developed events to attract people to the streets (Street Fair, Cruisin’ Broadway and Holiday Lights Parade), the Corks & Canvas events make sure people check out the shops, galleries and eateries along the street.
