On behalf of the more than 17,000 people in our community who turn to food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelter programs each year to meet their hunger needs, we extend our thanks to the Student Ambassadors from Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and surrounding areas who so skillfully spearheaded this year’s Fill the Dome event.
Donations will keep local food pantries stocked for six to seven months
Area students saw their efforts to feed the hungry come to fruition Tuesday on the Fargodome floor, as the annual Fill the Dome event came to a celebratory end.
Red River Valley area residents are urged to crack open their wallets and their kitchen cupboards and give as much as they can spare in the next few days as the fourth annual Fill the Dome drive comes to its climax on Tuesday.
This year’s student-led Fill The Dome drive aims to collect 110 tons of food and $110,000 to fill the area’s food pantries, organizers said Tuesday during the campaign’s kick-off at Fargo’s Great Plains Food Bank.
