ST. PAUL – Tim Brent and Brandon Sutter scored in a 48-second span of the third period Saturday and the Carolina Hurricanes rallied past the Minnesota Wild 5-3.
Drayson Bowman scored twice and recorded an assist for the Hurricanes. Goaltender Brian Boucher made 21 saves and recorded his first win of the season.
Kyle Brodziak had a goal and two assists for Minnesota. Nick Johnson and Erik Christensen also scored for the Wild, who have lost eight of nine games.
ST. PAUL – Jamie Benn’s goal early in the third period and Kari Lehtonen’s second consecutive shutout gave the Dallas Stars their sixth straight victory, 1-0 over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.
Benn scored for the third time in four games to give him 21 this season.
The Stars are the Western Conference’s hottest team is 10-0-1 in its last 11 games, with seven victories in regulation.
ST. PAUL – Jarome Iginla scored early and set up Curtis Glencross’ go-ahead goal late with a botched shot that became a pass, and the Calgary Flames hung on to beat the Minnesota Wild 4-3 on Sunday for their third straight victory.
DENVER – Jamie McGinn scored the first of a four-goal flurry in the second period and Semyon Varlamov stopped 21 shots as the Colorado Avalanche beat the struggling Minnesota Wild 7-1 on Tuesday night.
ST. PAUL – Backup goaltender Jonathan Bernier stopped 25 shots for his fifth career shutout, while Anze Kopitar scored and added an assist as the Los Angeles Kings rolled to a 4-0 victory Tuesday night at Minnesota.
Bernier secured his first victory since Jan. 9 and didn’t give up a goal for the first time since shutting out Edmonton last March.
Minnesota, which had won three of four, remained five points out of the top eight.
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Jed Ortmeyer’s first goal of the season gave the Minnesota Wild the lead with 4:13 left in a 4-3 victory on Sunday, sending the San Jose Sharks home with a tough loss to finish 2-6-1 on a season-long nine-game road trip.
