BISMARCK – More than 600 full-time military technicians in the North Dako-ta National Guard will lose a total $1.2 million in pay over the next 11 weeks as they are required to take off one day a week due to national spending cuts.
BISMARCK – Despite an hour of debate this morning and nearly nine hours of tallying votes, North Dakota Republican convention-goers overwhelmingly selected the party’s 25 recommended nominees to represent them as delegates at the national convention this summer.
BISMARCK – North Dakota’s U.S. House race will have a few less candidates come Monday, after state Republicans endorse their favored candidate here this weekend.
It’s the culmination of months of campaigning across the state, and Republican delegates have to take sides. It’s between Shane Goettle, Brian Kalk, Bette Grande, Kim Koppelman and DuWayne Hendrickson.
FARGO – With 36 days until the North Dakota Republican Party‘s state convention, Rep. Rick Berg is making his campaign debut Wednesday on statewide airwaves in order to spread the message of his U.S. Senate bid.
FARGO – It’s still 14 months until Election Day 2012 – but the North Dakota Republican Party is diving in to the campaign season with an early push to garner support for the party platform.
NDGOP leaders say they’re reviving a tradition of the successful 2010 campaign, when party leaders held regular lunches to attract voters and connect supporters with candidates.
FARGO – After barely eight months directing North Dakota’s Republican Party, Laurie Eisenbeis has stepped down as head of party operations.
Party Chairman Stan Stein made the announcement this afternoon, saying Eisenbeis wants to spend more time with her family.
ST. PAUL – Republicans took over the Minnesota Legislature promising to create jobs. On Wednesday, they pushed forward a bill that would slim state government by cutting roughly 5,000 state employee positions.
