STIMULUS BILL
New tax credit is an incredible deal for first-time homebuyers
There has been a lot of talk recently about Congress’ economic stimulus bill. While most of the talk has centered around who is getting what and how much, a key provision has not been getting the attention it deserves. Federal stimulus will not do the job
I did not want this “stimulus bill” to pass. Millions of people did not want this bill to pass. The bill has passed, and it is already in motion. It is too late to pull the plug. Stimulus bill right for difficult times
I’ve seen a few letters recently that suggest North Dakota’s congressional delegation supported the stimulus simply for partisan or political reasons. I believe the writers of those letters need to take their own partisan blinders off and consider the possibility that our elected leaders voted for this bill because it was the right thing to do.

Forum editorial: Risks in stimulus significant
Public opinion polls suggest Americans have become selective about what they like and dislike in President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus package. General sentiment seems to turn on how one perceives the benefits. Partisans condemn the big-government tilt behind the stimulus, but then grudgingly have their hands out like everyone else.
