Review: Gluten-free pasta tastes like the real thing

Special to The Forum

FARGO - On busy weeknights, spaghetti pomodoro is one of my go-to, simple homemade meals.

But since I can't have gluten, it's important to me to find gluten-free spaghetti that tastes like traditional pasta.

A generous reader who also has a gluten-free diet shared with me what he considers to be the best-tasting gluten-free spaghetti, and I agree.

Bionaturae Organic Gluten Free Spaghetti, available at Swanson Health in Fargo and on Amazon, is nearly indistinguishable from traditional wheat pasta.

Cooked al dente, the potato, rice and soy pasta that's made in Italy is the perfect noodle to twist on a fork with fresh tomato sauce.

Unlike other gluten-free pastas I've tried, Bionaturae's doesn't get gummy and mushy. Even my boyfriend, who's suspicious of my gluten-free products, enjoyed the pasta and said it tasted like "regular" spaghetti.

With 46 five-star reviews on Amazon (only six reviewers scored the pasta with less than five stars), Bionaturae pasta is a best bet.
