Away from Home: Kruger National Park, South Africa
Where: Kruger National Park, South Africa
When: Nov. 23
Distance from Fargo: 9,195 miles
Comments: We later learned that we were extremely lucky to spot this leopard sitting by the side of the road about five minutes after entering Kruger National Park in South Africa on our way to Skukuza rest camp. We saw many herbivores including elephants, giraffes, rhinos and wildebeasts, but leopards and cheetahs are rarely spotted. Daughter Ala took this photo after catching its eye and calling for me to stop the car.
