About Us

The history of Boulger Funeral Home goes back to the early days of pioneer settlements in the Red River Valley. Boulger Funeral Home was established in 1897 by John V. Boulger and Edward J. Hughes. Since that time the staff has continued to offer professional care and affordable funeral services to our friends and neighbors in Fargo and surrounding areas. We pledge to continue this tradition of service far into the 21st century.

Larry Boulger carries on the legacy of personal service. Larry purchased the funeral home from his father, Jim in 1978, and has owned and operated it since that time. He has been very active over the years, serving on several boards in the community.

The staff of Boulger Funeral Home is available to help families in need on an emergency basis around the clock. We have been offering this service for over 100 years and pledge to continue this tradition not only today, but far into the future.

Wildeman Funeral Home

The Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro, North Dakota was established in 1915 by Albert L. Halverson, as the Halverson Funeral Home. In 1960 the name changed to Halverson-Wildeman Funeral Home when Carl Wildeman, son-in-law of Albert, joined the business. The funeral home was located on Caledonia Avenue before moving to its current location at 118 SE 3rd Street when the new Wildeman Funeral Home was constructed in 1959.

The staff of Wildeman Funeral Home is also committed to offering the community and surrounding communities throughout the Red River Valley the highest quality of service available. We are a privately owned funeral home. In 1997 we became affiliated with Boulger Funeral Home of Fargo, and Fredrikson Funeral Chapel of Kindred. This affiliation gives us the opportunity to provide personal attention to each family we serve as well as the ability to offer a variety of options. We are able to provide visitations and funeral services in surrounding communities, as well as the Fargo-Moorhead area, at no additional charge.

Fredrikson Funeral Chapel

Fredrikson Funeral Chapel was founded by Peter B. Fredrikson in 1910. Since that time, the Fredrikson family has provided professional care and affordable services to all parts of Cass and Richland Counties. Fredrikson Funeral Chapel pledges to continue this service into the 21st century.

Fredrikson Funeral Chapel is committed to offering the highest quality services in a comfortable environment. Our chapel in Kindred offers room for both large formal funerals and casual intimate services. We have expanded the kinds of services we offer and have an arrangement with Boulger Funeral Home to provide funeral facilities and services in the Fargo-Moorhead area at no additional charge.

While times have changed from the early days, Boulger, Fredrikson and Wildeman Funeral Homes continue the tradition of thoughtful, professional service. Taking an active part in the growth of Fargo and the Red River Valley has been important to both Peter Fredrikson and Larry Boulger.
