Two killed after car hits cow in roadway in western North Dakota

MANDAREE, N.D. – Two men are dead after their car struck a cow and rolled into a ditch east of Mandaree on Friday night.

A 27-year-old man from Mountain Home, Idaho, and a 19-year-old man from St. George, Utah, were killed in the accident, which occurred about 10:30 p.m. Friday about 70 miles north of Dickinson, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said in a press release.

The two men will be identified after notification of family, the patrol said.

After striking the cow, which had wandered onto the road, the vehicle went into the ditch and overturned multiple times, the patrol said.
