Water main break causes flooding in Bismarck mall
BISMARCK—Crews are still cleaning up after an unwelcome surprise at Bismarck's Kirkwood Mall the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 8.
Mall officials say a water main broke around 8:45 a.m., and two hours later water started flowing into the building.
Once the leak stopped, it was all hands on deck.
Sandbags and shop vacs were quickly used to pump out any water, but a number of stores have damaged merchandise and lifted carpet tiles.
