Moorhead taking part in Timberwolves program to improve basketball courts
MOORHEAD — This summer, the Minnesota Timberwolves will travel across the state of Minnesota to help neighborhoods bring basketball outdoors with the "New Era. New Courts." program. Moorhead's Parks and Recreation Department is asking residents to vote on a court to improve in each of the three markets, namely Moorhead, Rochester and the Twin Cities. The contest runs through Sunday, Aug. 6.
Moorhead residents are asked to vote on one of the following courts:
• Northeast Park, 1817 Eighth Ave. N., a half court needing improvements.
• Lamb Park, 1325 14th Ave. S., a half court needing improvements.
• Woodlawn Park, 400 Woodlawn Park Drive, flooding in recent years has deteriorated the court surface.
