FARGO — A 20-year-old man is facing a possible felony charge after he was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 12, on suspicion of trying to rob a Simonson Station Store of cigarettes using a large stick.

According to a report posted on the Fargo Police Department Facebook page:

Officers were dispatched to a hold-up alarm at the store at 3810 Main Ave. about 2 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, after a man later identified as Lucas Kulberg entered the store with a large stick and demanded cigarettes.

Kulberg and the clerk engaged in a physical fight, and Kulberg eventually fled the store.

About 11 p.m. Tuesday, an officer in the 1500 block of 48th Street South saw a passenger in a passing vehicle who looked like the man who tried to rob the store.
