Highway Patrol says trucks mostly involved in 35 interstate crashes during blizzard
FARGO -- North Dakota Highway Patrol reported it responded to 35 crashes Monday on interstates 29 and 94 in Cass, Barnes and Stutsman counties in southeast North Dakota during the blizzard.
Most crashes in Barnes and Stutsman counties involved commercial vehicles unable to maintain their lane of travel, patrol reported.
A no travel advisory extended from south central to northeastern North Dakota by Monday afternoon, growing from a travel alert that morning as blizzard conditions settled in.
Such conditions included icy roads, blowing snow and strong winds.
