St. Cloud man sentenced to 23 months for Moorhead robbery


MOORHEAD—A 24-year-old St. Cloud, Minn., man was sentenced on Tuesday, Jan. 2, in Clay County District Court to 23 months in prison for his role in the robbing of a Casey's General Store in Moorhead in May 2016.
Steven James Golden earlier pleaded guilty to one count of simple robbery. A count of aggravated robbery was dismissed.
Golden was ordered to pay $210 in fees and given credit for having served 323 days.
According to court documents, Golden and a co-defendant, Dylan J. Beckman, were involved in a robbery at the Casey's General Store at 1702 30th Ave. S., in Moorhead.
Beckman told investigators Golden robbed the store with a BB gun while he was the getaway driver, according to court documents.
Charges of aiding and abetting aggravated first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated first-degree robbery remain pending against Beckman.
