Three of four defendants to face trial in Grand Forks County murder case
GRAND FORKS - One of four people charged with murder in a Grand Forks County man’s stabbing death will likely take a plea deal while the other three will likely face a trial.
Joe Ramone Saucedo, 22, is accused of pulling a knife on Ruben Cisneros Jr. and stabbing him to death in November, according to court records. In a pretrial conference Thursday, his attorney said he has tentatively entered into a plea agreement.
Saucedo is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit burglary.
The three other defendants plan to go to trial, which is scheduled for Sept. 16. Thomas Robert Begg, 23, Jennifer Leilani Blue, 23, and Vincent Gladue, 25, are also charged with murder and conspiracy to commit burglary.
The killing occurred after the four defendants and Blue’s younger sister drove to Cisneros’ home northwest of Grand Forks to pick up the elder Blue’s belongings. Cisneros was her ex-boyfriend, and until a few days before the killing, she had lived with him, according to a previous report.
The three men broke into Cisneros’ home to retrieve Blue’s belongings and confront Cisneros, according to court documents. Saucedo allegedly stabbed Cisneros multiple times.
