Johnson seeks re-election to ND Legislature
FARGO — Republican Mary C. Johnson has announced she will seek re-election to the North Dakota Legislature from District 45.
Johnson was elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives in 2014. She served on several committees, including judiciary, government and veteran's affairs, health care reform review and education. She currently serves on the interim education policy and legislative audit and financial review committees.
"I am very proud of the work the Legislature and governor have done regarding innovation in education. Getting kids excited about learning should be developed at the local level, not dictated by non-North Dakotans," Johnson said. "We have more work to do and I am honored to be part of it."
Johnson is an attorney who practices solely through the State Bar's volunteer lawyer program. She also serves on the Fargo Park Board.
Johnson and her husband, Dave, live in north Fargo.
District 45 includes North Dakota State University, Harwood, Reile's Acres, Argusville, Gardner, parts of West Fargo and rural Cass County.
