Fargo artist opening store to sell her work
FARGO—A self-taught artist will open her own store this weekend where she plans to sell paintings, prints, clothings and more of her artwork.
Elizabeth Moore said her store will open at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at 2551 45th St. S., a south Fargo strip mall near Old Chicago restaurant.
E. Moore Art Studio is the first store for Moore, a 20-year-old Moorhead native who said she's self-taught and discovered her love for art at the age of 4. She works with watercolor and Photoshop, she said.
Moore said she's focused in recent years on fan art, making pieces that fit with demands at local events like the Fargo-Moorhead Comic-Con. But she's now looking to venture into other styles and subject material, including wildlife and abstract art.
"I just love making people happy when they see my art or when they see fan art, when it can come back to what they love," she said.
The store will be Moore's full-time job, she said. For now, it will mostly carry Moore's own art and products, though she said it could also display and sell other locally made art in the future.
