Revland Gallery, event center opens in downtown Fargo

Revland Gallery and Cultural Event Center, 6 Broadway N., Fargo, opened for business Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017. Special to The Forum

FARGO—A new gallery and event center is open for business downtown.

Revland Gallery and Cultural Event Center, 6 Broadway N., celebrated its grand opening Thursday, Sept. 7, after months of renovations to overhaul the 6,000-square-foot main floor that was most recently occupied by Antiques on Broadway until it closed in 2014.

The venue was opened by Fargo artist Steve Revland and business partner Jacque Holland Stamatopoulos.

Revland said the main gallery has work from about 35 artists. The facility also has a maker's market with more affordable items made by potters, weavers, glassblowers and more, as well as Studio 6, a separate space that can be booked for solo exhibits, classes, musical performances and other events.

The entire gallery can also be rented for special events.

The 6,000-square-foot basement has room for about 30 small studios that Revland said he'd like to rent out to artists. The facility is offering up studios to students for $50 a month for a four-month lease, while professionals would pay $75 per month with a six-month lease.

Revland said getting the venue ready was a big undertaking, likening it to completing a "huge sculpture."

"It's just a perfect building," he said. "I just couldn't have come across anything better."

Revland Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, call (701) 478-0262 or visit
