Moorhead mixed-use project moves up timetable
MOORHEAD—The anticipated completion date of a major commercial and housing project now taking shape at Main Avenue and Eighth Street south in Moorhead has been moved up.
The completion date for what is being called "Block E" was originally anticipated to be sometime in 2019, but a fall 2018 finish date is now expected, according to McKenzy Olson, spokeswoman for FiveStone Development, of West Fargo, which is developing the project, and Gehrtz Construction Services, which is building it.
Once completed, the complex will offer commercial space on the main floor with the corporate offices for Eventide Senior Living Communities on the second floor.
The third and fourth floors will hold 12 apartments, eight of which will be two stories. Tenants will be able to park underground.
Olson said pricing on the one-, two-, and three-bedroom units is still being decided. She said rents will likely be similar to those at the Sheyenne Plaza apartments in West Fargo, where prices for two-bedroom units range from $1,000-$1,600 and from $1,400-$1,600 for three-bedroom units, according to the property's website.
Commercial tenants are still being sought for the main floor. Olson said developers are hoping the mix will include a coffee shop and a restaurant.
