Spanish flu lecture scheduled at Hjemkomst Center

MOORHEAD — The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County (HCSCC) will host a lecture on the science of the Spanish Influenza pandemic from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, in the Heritage Theater at the Hjemkomst Center.

Minnesota State University Moorhead biosciences professor Dr. Andrew Marry will provide the lecture, which is offered in conjunction with HCSCC's current local exhibition, "War, Flu, and Fear: World War 1 & Clay County."

Admission will be free for HCSCC members and $10 for non-members, and will include museum tours. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are available on the HCSCC website.
