Letter: Mary Worth and Rex Morgan are hilarious
I take exception to Rodney Nelson's assertion (Inforum May 19) that Rex Morgan and Mary Worth are for people "with no sense of humor." This couldn't be further from the truth. On the contrary, those are two of the funniest strips currently running.
Read today's Mary Worth (in which a woman has locked her romantic rival in a Haitian restroom) or Rex Morgan (in which Rex's wife June stirs a literal pot on the stove while hatching a plan to metaphorically stir a pot of trouble at the hospital).
Every single day, the soap opera strips are campy, bizarre, and hilarious. Their absurdity makes me laugh - actually laugh out loud - a thousand times more often than Garfield, Blondie, or Beetle Bailey.
