Letter: No surprises from our gutless representatives
In the story, "Leaders divided on Trump after Korea tweets, rift with senator," posted to Inforum Oct. 10, the gutlessness from Sens. John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp were on full display as usual. Both of them avoided responding to the scathing remarks about President Trump by Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., which I fully expected because neither of these senators want to step on the precious, tender little toes of their Trump-supporting North Dakotans.
But then Rep. Kevin Cramer, in his usual fashion, came out and flat out lied and said Bob Corker is a "never-Trumper." Corker endorsed Trump early on, and was on the short list to be Trump's secretary of state or vice president. Of course, now that Corker is not running for re-election and is free to speak the ugly truth about what an immature, reckless, chaotic and dangerous president Trump is, these Trump-supporting fools like Cramer now have to throw the truth-tellers like Corker under the bus.
I'm not sure where the tipping point is going to be for these kool-aid drinking Trumpsters. Maybe it will take World War III or another Republican Great Depression, and what's most frightening is that either or both of these nightmares are well within the realm of possibility with the madman occupying the White House.
