Letter: Honest column about John McCain was much-appreciated

Ross Nelson is spot on regarding Sen. John McCain in his column, "McCain was far from a maverick," published Sept. 8. His honor and courage as a U.S. Navy attack pilot are to be admired, but the accolades from the left were only because of his ongoing disgust with President Trump. Thank you greatly, Ross, for remembering the unresolved Vietnam POW issue. I would recommend reading "Kiss the Boys Goodbye" by Monica Jensen-Stevenson and William Stevenson.

There are few players left from those times, but those still here have answers to unresolved issues. I would begin with Henry Kissinger.
