Newspaper Advertising

  1. Please build the ad the exact size that was purchased. If you build it a slightly different size, your ad could become distorted or stretched.
  2. Please make sure that all images are high resolution and at 200 dpi.
  3. If you are running your ad in black and white, make sure that all images and text are grayscale. If you send the ad in color we will have to convert it to grayscale and that could cause the ad to look different than you intended.
  4. If you are running your ad in color, please make sure that all images and text are CMYK. If you use a different color profile we will have to convert to CMYK and that could cause the ad to look different than you intended.
  5. All black text should be in 100% black only.
  6. All ink limits should be under 240%.

Inbox Blasts - Email Marketing

  1. Acceptable file formats are A) A link to the inbox ad, hosted on a web server or B) An HTML document.
  2. All images must have absolute links and be hosted on a web server.
  3. By default, most email clients (Gmail, Hotmail etc) block images, requiring the user to allow images to be seen. Because of this, we recommend that 90% of the inbox should be HTML text. Always consider how the inbox ad will look if no images show up in the user’s inbox.
  4. Inbox ads require the use of tables and not CSS when creating your HTML document. CSS may be used for limited text styling, but all placement should be done through the use of tables.
  5. All CSS used must be inline. Any CSS placed in the document's head will be removed when the inbox ad is sent.
  6. We are not able to send out inbox ads that are completely image-based. All text must be in HTML format.
  7. All images used should be saved using the "for web and devices" setting, or 72dpi and set to RGB mode.
  8. There is no limit to the amount of links that can be places
  9. In accordance with current Spam Laws, Forum Communications is required to place a footer at the bottom of all marketing emails giving subscribers information on why they received marketing messages. Forum Communications will place this footer on all inbox ads.
  10. All inbox ads are subject to a testing process to ensure quality
