Q: I can't log on to the new inforum Web site. What's happening?
A: The Forum has updated its Web site, which is why you are experiencing difficulties. Even though you may already have an active account with us, you will be required to log in again as though it's your first time. The technology requires this, but you'll only have to do it once. After that, you should be able to access the site as easily as you always have.
A: At the bottom of the login page is a button that says "reset my password". There you can enter your e-mail address and inforum can send you a new password so that you can successfully log on. Q: My Inforum Web bookmarks don't work. How can I get them back?
A: If you have bookmarks on your computer set to The Forum's homepage or to any other page within the inforum site, you will have to re-bookmark them by finding the page you want to mark and going to "Favorities" under your navigation bar and clicking "add to favorites" or "add to bookmarks." You should only have to do this one time. Q: The navigation menu is no longer along the left-hand side of the homepage. How can I find what I'm looking for?
A: The menu that used to run vertically along the left-hand side of the homepage now can be found horizontally at the top of the homepage. By clicking on any of those tabs at the top of the page, you will be automatically directed to that section of the Web site. You can also search for more specific content if you'd like. For example, when you click on the "columnist" tab at the top of the page, you also will be given a list of Forum columnists. In other words, if you only are interested in reading Bob Lind's column, you can click on his name and be directed to an archive of his work. Or, if you are specifically interested in Bison sports news, you can click on the Sports section and then click on "Bison" and you will be directed to a page filled with Bison-only content. Q: What's a quick way on the new site to find stories I'm interested. I knew where to look before, but now I don't know.
A: All of the same content you've come to rely on at inforum.com is still there. One of the best new features of the site is the larger search bar in the top right-hand corner of the homepage. By typing a keyword in this space, you will be directed to a page filled with related content. It's much improved from our previous search bar, and you will more easily be able to find content with our new site. Q: I see that the new Web site is www.inforum.com and no longer has a dash between "in" and "forum". What happens if I type it in wrong?
A: You are correct that the new Web site address has no dash. However, if you use a dash, you still will be directed to The Forum's homepage. If you don't see your question here or need additional information, please e-mail email@example.com.
