Explainer/Disclaimer:
These maps were created with data from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet provided by the city of Fargo.
The information came from volunteer sign-up sheets filled out by hand at Sandbag Central and later typed into the spreadsheet.
Some addresses were missing ZIP codes and may contain errors. (We omitted names because there were too many obvious misspellings as city and FirstLink workers had to try to decipher volunteers’ handwriting).
In other words, these maps aren’t official, but they provide perspective of the large volunteer effort.
