Park's two-run homer sparks Twins over Jays

DUNEDIN, Fla.—First baseman ByungHo Park hit a towering two-run homer to lead the Minnesota Twins to an 8-2 victory against Toronto on Monday.

Park's fourth homer of the spring came on Francisco Liriano's 0-1 offering after Max Kepler led off the fifth inning with a single.

Liriano, a former Twin who was acquired last season from Pittsburgh to boost the Blue Jays' postseason push, had 10 strikeouts and gave up one walk and four hits in 4⅔ innings. Before Park's blast, Liriano had worked five scoreless innings in Grapefruit League play this spring.

Meanwhile, the Twins got five shutout innings from right-hander Tyler Duffey, who allowed just four hits and set down the final seven batters he faced.
