Fusion's Johnson receives soccer league honors

FARGO—Dakota Fusion FC forward Jade Johnson received three postseason awards from the Northern Premier Soccer League, including the Mitre Golden Ball award.

Johnson, a West Fargo High School and University of Jamestown graduate, scored 17 goals and has two assists this past season.

Johnson was also named a first team All-NPSL player and was named to the first-team Midwest Region team.

The Fusion finished the regular season with a 9-5 record, second in the North Division, before losing to eventual region champion Detroit City FC in the first round of the playoffs.
