FARGO—The Philadelphia Eagles released former North Dakota State cornerback CJ Smith from the practice squad, the club announced on Tuesday morning, Sept. 12, via its official Twitter account.

The move came as a result of the team signing offensive tackle Victor Salako and placing him on the practice squad.

Smith's release leaves quarterback Carson Wentz (Eagles). linebacker Kyle Emanuel (Los Angeles Chargers), linebacker Ramon Humber (Buffalo), cornerback Marcus Williams (New York Jets) and offensive linemen Joe Haeg (Indianapolis) and Billy Turner (Denver) as former Bison on NFL rosters.
