Four Dragon wrestlers go 5-1 at Kearney Open

KEARNEY, Neb.—Four Minnesota State Moorhead wrestlers finished with 5-1 records at the Nebraska-Kearney Holiday Inn Open held Saturday.

The new NCAA rule limits wrestlers to six matches in a day, which meant some Dragon wrestlers were unable to wrestle any further in the consolation rounds of their weight classes.

Adam Blees, a 174-pound junior, advanced to the third-place match in the elite division but did not compete because of the six-match limit. Seth Hutchison, a 133-pound redshirt freshman finished second in the amateur division. Cole Jones, a 125 pound freshman, went 5-1 in the amateur division. Jordan Magnuson, a 285-pound redshirt freshman went 5-1.
