Concordia women's basketball drops conference opener in a thriller

ST. PAUL—Concordia opened conference play with a thriller for which the Cobbers found themselves on the wrong end. Macalester's Tyana Loiselle hit two free throws with 0.01 seconds remaining to hand the Cobbers a 60-58 loss in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball opener.

Grace Wolhowe's jumper with 56 seconds remaining tied the game for the Cobbers. After each team had empty possessions, Loiselle found the winning points at the free-throw line. Those were her only points of the game.
