Cobbers name Greiner as their new women's hockey coach
MOORHEAD—Maureen (Hardwick) Greiner has been named head women's hockey coach for the Concordia Cobbers, athletic director Rachel Bergeson announced Tuesday.
Greiner is a former Augsburg and St. Thomas assistant coach.
"Her knowledge of the MIAC, ability to coach teams that are highly successful and background in high school hockey in the area make her a tremendous asset to the program," Bergeson said.
Greiner returns to Concordia after serving as an assistant coach for the program for the 2011 season. In addition to her college experience, she was also the assistant coach at Minnetonka High School when the Skippers won the Minnesota Class 2A state championship in 2012 and 2013.
A 2002 Warroad High School graduate, Greiner will start her coaching duties on Aug. 1.
