Seyler, Sioux Falls shut down RedHawks to earn American Association victory

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—The Sioux Falls Canaries defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 3-1 on Thursday in American Association baseball at Sioux Falls Stadium before 2,119 fans.

RedHawks shortstop Yhoxian Medina brought home Charlie Valerio with a single in the ninth inning for F-M's lone run. Will Solomon (8-6) allowed three earned runs on five hits with three walks and a strikeout through six innings and took the loss.

Sioux Falls starter Mark Seyler pitched six shutout innings, giving up three hits with four walks and three strikeouts to earn the win.

The RedHawks fell to 42-34 overall.
