Fergus Falls guard Rund commits to Dragons for men's basketball

FERGUS FALLS, Minn.—Fergus Falls Otters guard Nathan Rund has verbally committed to play men's basketball at Minnesota State Moorhead.

The 6-foot-1 senior has helped the Otters to a 19-6 record so far this season. Rund is averaging 17.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.1 steals per game. He's second on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,717 career points, and the all-time steals leader with 211.

Rund was named to the Minnesota Mr. Basketball watch list in January.

"I felt it was the best place for me knowing that it's close to my family, and also the style of play,"

Rund said. "There is something about having the right fit. ... It's exciting to know the kind of basketball I will be playing there."

Southwest Minnesota State and St. Cloud State were among Rund's final choices.
