MSUM's Sannes heading to Germany to play pro basketball

MOORHEAD - The thought of Drew Sannes taking her basketball career to the next level was always a possibility for her, and now, she's headed to Europe to fulfill that dream.

Sannes signed with Herner TC in Herne, Germany.

Sannes, a Hawley native,  just wrapped an outstanding career at MSU Moorhead. She was named the Northern Sun player of the year in 2017, along with being an All-American honoree. 

She finished in the top ten in scoring and rebounding in school history. 

Sannes spoke with WDAY Sports Director Dom Izzo about the next step in her basketball journey and heading to Germany to play.

Domenic is the Sports Director at WDAY. He comes to Fargo from WNCE-TV in Glens Falls, NY where he launched the sports department at the independent station. Before that, Domenic worked at WSTM, the NBC affiliate in Syracuse, NY as a photographer and live truck operator for over two years. He graduated from Oswego State University in 2002 with a degree in Broadcasting. Domenic hails from the lake effect snow capital of the world, Oswego, NY, he joined the WDAY Sports Department in September 2006.
