A quick look at NDSU's four athletic director finalists


Senior associate athletic director

Colorado State

A 1989 graduate of Concordia College, Crum held top athletics fundraising positions at Iowa State and Minnesota before moving on to Colorado State in 2012, where he is the senior athletic director for development. His primary role is to raise money for CSU’s new football stadium.


Senior associate athletic director

North Dakota State

Is in his 14th year in the Bison athletic department with most of his work spent in marketing. He’s been on the Fargo Dome Authority since 2008. Prior to NDSU, he spent three years as the general manager for the Southern Minny Stars Baseball Club in Austin, Minn.


Senior associate athletic director

Stony Brook University (N.Y.)

Has spent 19 years at Stony Brook having been promoted to his latest position in 2008. He serves as the chief financial officer for the department and oversees development and the operating budget. He is a 1996 graduate of Stony Brook where he was a standout wide receiver.


Athletic director

St. Bonaventure University (N.Y.)

The athletic director since 2006, the Bonnies have seen a major upgrade in their men’s basketball program and facilities. A 1990 graduate of Bowling Green University (Ohio), he worked in marketing at Georgia and the University of Dayton before joining Eastern Michigan, where he was associate athletic director from 2001 until getting his current position.
