Butler stuns Youngstown with last-second field goal

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio—Butler scored 16 fourth-quarter points to stun Youngstown State with a 23-21 Football Championship Subdivision win Saturday.

After Pace Temple recovered an onside kick, Drew Bevelhimer kicked a 44-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to give Butler the win.

Will Marty completed 25 of 38 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns for Butler. Temple caught 14 passes for 167 yards and one touchdown.

Youngstown, which played in the FCS championship two years ago, was picked to finish fourth in the Missouri Valley Football Conference and was ranked No. 24 in a preseason FCS poll.
