Bison men's golf season ends at the NCAA Pacific Regional

STOCKTON, Calif.—The North Dakota State men's golf team finished in 13th place at the NCAA Pacific Regional, which concluded Wednesday, May 16, at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

The Bison finished with a 54-hole, 22-over-par 886 team score with rounds of 297, 295 and 294.

Kansas won the regional title with a 20-under-par 844 with Stanford in second place with an 845. Kansas, Stanford, Iowa State, Alabama and Oregon all advanced to the NCAA Championship from the region.

NDSU sophomore Andrew Israelson finished tied for 23rd with a 1-under-par 215 (72-71-72) over the three rounds. Freshman Van Holmgren tied for 50th with a 220 (73-74-73) and junior Will Holmgren was tied for 67th with a 226 (78-74-74).

Oregon's Norman Xiong earned individual medalist honors with a 15-under-par 201.

The Bison were playing in their first NCAA Division I Regional.
