Concordia volleyball swept twice at Northwestern Invite

ST. PAUL, Minn.—Concordia was swept twice Saturday at the Northwestern Invite in women's college volleyball.

Wartburg defeated the Cobbers 25-18, 25-7, 25-19 in the first match. Northwestern (Minn.) earned a 25-20, 25-20, 25-22 victory against Concordia in the second match.

Brianna Carney paced Concordia with nine kills against Wartburg. Jill Klaphake had 17 assists and nine digs, while Casey Coste led the Cobbers with 15 digs.

Against Northwestern (Minn.), Haley Cuppett tallied 15 kills to lead the Cobbers, while Coste had 16 digs. Anna Brakke recorded 11 kills and 11 digs, and Klaphake added 29 assists.

Concordia (2-2) hosts Valley City at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
