WEST FARGO—Faith Lutheran Church, 127 2nd Ave. E., will host its annual Women's Night Out at 6 p.m. Friday, April 8. A social will begin at 6 p.m,, with a dinner at 6:30 p.m.followed by the program. This year's program will feature the humorous Schmidtt Sisters. Women's Night Out is open to all women and tickets are $15. To purchase tickets, visit the church office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday by April 3.

FARGO—Author Gracia Burnham will speak at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 4575 45th St. S. Burnham wrote New York Times best-seller "In the Presence of My Enemies" after she and her husband, Martin Burnham, were kidnapped by terrorists in the Philippines. The couple were missionaries and spent 13 months as hostages in the jungle. They were rescued in 2002, but Martin Burnham died in the violent rescue. Burnham points to her faith as guiding her through the tragedy.
FARGO—The Eastern North Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota Evangelical Lutheran Church in America synods and the Fargo and Crookston Catholic dioceses will host a public event called "Creation Conversation: Caring for our Common Home" at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, 5202 25th St. S.
FARGO—Presentation Prayer Center, 1101 32nd Ave. S., will host a spirituality class from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 25; Monday, May 2; and Monday, May 9. Using Teilhard de Chardin's "The Divine Milieu" as a starting point, the class will explore ways to enter into a richer, personal spirituality. The class will rely on formal presentations, group discussions and personal exercises such as journaling. Vern Goodin, who studied systematic theology and spirituality, will lead the class.
FARGO—Metropolitan Baptist Church, 2612 25th St. S., will host a free Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University video class from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22. The class will focus on careers and job hunting, teaching people what businesses look for in employees and how personality and passions play into that. Attendees will also learn how to prepare for an interview. Jay Thoreson, the former director of the career center at Concordia College in Moorhead, will be available to answer questions. FARGO—First Lutheran Church, 619 Broadway, will present the sacred cantata "The Seven Last Words of Christ" by Theodore Dubois at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23. The musical event, under the direction of David Ferreira, features three professional vocal soloists: David Hamilton from Concordia College, Darci Bultema from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., Jay Olson and an orchestra of nearly 30 musicians. VALLEY CITY, N.D.—Bernatello's will purchase Pizza Corner's familiar orange and blue vacuum-packed frozen pizzas, according to a news release. The acquisition will be effective Friday, May 20.
