DILWORTH — A man is in jail facing felony drug distribution charges after Dilworth police pulled him over Sunday and accused him of having more than 2 gallons of liquid methamphetamines in his vehicle. Dilworth Police Chief Ty Sharpe said one of his officers pulled over a vehicle at about 2:59 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Second Avenue Southeast. The man initially gave police the name of one of his family members and tried to conceal drug paraphernalia before the officer ordered him out of the car, Sharpe said.
MOORHEAD — A Ransom, N.D., man was arrested early Friday on suspicion of drunken driving after crashing his pickup truck into a Moorhead home. Police responded to the scene of the crash at about 12:47 a.m. at a house on the 3500 block of 23rd Avenue South, where the caller had been asleep in the room the truck had crashed into. Officers discovered a white 2005 Chevy Colorado pickup stuck into the exterior of the home. The interior of the home was damaged, but the truck had not broken through.
FARGO — A Fargo man faces felony charges of luring a minor by computer after Facebook officials reported to law enforcement he'd been exchanging explicit sexual conversations with a 13-year-old user while trying to arrange to meet her. Court documents filed Wednesday in Cass Court District Court charge Benjamin Dennis Armstrong, who is 27 or 28, with one count of luring a minor by computer, a Class B felony.
FARGO — For anyone who's struggled to find a place to park downtown, Fargo city leaders are looking for a solution. Timing is one of the considerations they're taking into account when deciding which of three developers — Roers, Kilbourne Group or Enclave Development — will get a deal to build a new downtown parking ramp and mixed-use buildings near the corner of Second Avenue North and Roberts Street west of Broadway.
FARGO - Firefighters put out an early-morning deck fire Thursday that could have been started by someone who didn't properly discard their smoking materials, according to a Fargo fire official. Fargo Fire Battalion Chief Dane Carley said a neighbor called in the fire at at 906 26th Street North at about 3:35 a.m. The neighbor, on the next block over, spotted something on fire but couldn't tell what was burning because a large fence was in the caller's way. When firefighters responded, they found the attached deck of a single-story, single-family home on fire.
