MOORHEAD — Construction to replace a water main will close 14th Street South, between 20th and 22nd Avenue South, starting Wednesday, Sept. 19. The closure will last about two days, weather permitting.
FARGO — Changes in federal law that take effect on Friday this week will make it easier to protect consumers' credit from identity theft, according to Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem. Beginning Sept. 21, placing a security freeze on a credit file is free.

FARGO — The Cass County Commission has lowered the assessed value of a property that was formerly home to a Gander Mountain store in Fargo, but the reduction in value was not as much as the property owner wanted. Store Master Funding VI, owner of the property that once housed Gander Mountain at 2121 43rd St. S., had asked that the assessed value of the property be reduced from about $7.4 million to $5.7 million for the taxable year 2017.
