JAMESTOWN - Next fall we'll see the Shanley football team return to the biggest class in the state, but the Deacons move sent an aftershock west to Jamestown. The Blue Jays will likley move up to Class 3A in 2019 after just spending two season in Class 2A. "If that's where they want us to be that's where we'll play, but just don't have us on a zipcord and going back and forth," Jamestown head football coach Bill Nelson said. "If you want us to be a AA school then be a AA school but then let us stay there."
WDAY Sports - Top tier teams started to distance themselves this week in the high school football scene and the athletes performances matched it, in this weeks Honor Roll. Outstanding performances from South, Red River, Detroit Lakes and Shanley highlight the best of the best from week 4.
FARGO, ND - While the Bison didn't need the pass attack in week one against Cal Poly, the need will come and NDSU is happy to bolstered it's wide receiving corp by clearing Christian Watson to play. Watson missed the last two weeks of fall camp and the season opener, after suffering a low ankle sprain. The 6'3", 193 pound, redshirt freshman could give NDSU its long sought after outside threat. Watson is chomping at the bit to get out there in the green and gold for the first time.
MINOT, ND - Carson Wentz has been back in the peace garden state for the past couple days, he headed west to talk with more kids in Minot Saturday.
