Joan Beckman and Matthew Larson announce their engagement.
Parents are Earl and Peggy Beckman, Jamestown, N.D.; Joan Larson, Fargo; and the late Gene Larson.
Joan graduated from Jamestown High School and attends the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Matthew graduated from North Dakota State University and is employed by Minneapolis schools.
An Aug. 6 wedding is planned at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
