BISMARCK — Catholic Health Initiatives’ North Dakota Violence Prevention Program will hold its Spotlight on Prevention Summit & Training online from 1-5 p.m. on Aug. 25. This free virtual event will combine independent study and live virtual learning sessions.
The program will feature experts from Futures Without Violence, the national health resource center on domestic violence.
Surabhi Kukké, senior health programs adviser at Futures, will lead a session on addressing domestic violence during COVID-19. Domestic violence is reportedly rising in the midst of this pandemic.

Free continuing education credits/contact hours have been requested for counselors, domestic violence advocates, law enforcement officers, nurses and social workers.
