North Dakota State and North Dakota have played twice in the Division 1 era.
Each time it's been a decisive Bison win. Saturday in front of a crowd of 18,293 NDSU showed there is still a wide gap between the two old rivals. Trey Lance threw for two touchdowns and ran two more in in a 38-7 win.
Lance completed passes to nine different receivers, including touchdown throws to Ben Ellefson and Noah Gindorff. The Bison defense held UND to just 68 rushing yards in the Bison blowout win.
NDSU's win marks its 23rd consecutive win, which is good for the fourth in NCAA history.
Dom Izzo and Jeff Kolpack recap the Bison win and look ahead to NDSU's next opponent, out east against Delaware.
